Hofburg Imperial Palace is in Vienna, Austria. Today, the palace is the official residence of the President of Austria. During the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Hofburg Imperial Palace was the principal winter residence of the Hapsburgs in Austria. The Hapsburg dynasty supplied all the formally elected Holy Roman Emperors from 1452 to 1740, the rulers of the Austrian Empire, and the rulers of Spain. The Habsburg dynasty reigned in Austria for over six centuries. Marriage made Burgundy, Spain, Bohemia, Hungary and more part of the Hapsburg world.
